While some steel window and door companies manufacture their products overseas, we proudly make ours in Australia, using Australian steel. This means we have absolute control over the process and can work with you at every stage – from initial enquiry right through to installation.
Our factory in Preston is also 100% powered by solar, making our steel windows and doors a sustainable choice for your home or commercial space.

Our fabrication team is comprised of qualified metal fabricators, some of whom have worked throughout Europe crafting quality steel windows and intricate steel designs.
Everything we produce is custom and one of a kind. This means you don’t need to retro-fit sizes or designs – we’re only limited by your imagination.

What also sets us apart is our service – we’re with you every step of the way. You can visit our showroom, try our products and see where your windows and doors are being made. Our backgrounds in building and engineering also mean our products don’t just look good, they work exceptionally well.
Our steel windows and doors are sandblasted and double powder coated. We are proud to use an accredited Dulux Powder Coater, providing a Dulux ‘Steel Shield Warranty’ and the full Dulux colour range.
Each window and door frame goes through a process of being baked, sandblasted, and has an application of 99% zinc rich primer and a coloured powder topcoat. For wet areas, an additional coloured powder topcoat is applied.
We also use accredited Australian suppliers and products in our manufacturing process, ensuring our frames do not harbour traces of Forever Chemicals or PFAS, which are commonly used in the manufacturing process of products brought in from overseas.
As an accredited and compliant member of the Australia Glass and Window Association, our steel windows and doors are tested to meet strict Australian standards. Our membership is testament to our commitment to uphold the highest quality and service standards in the industry.
At Steel Window Design we offer a 10 year warranty on all our frames and a 2 year warranty on hardware*. This means if there’s ever an issue, we won’t walk away, we’ll work with you to resolve it . Please view our full warranty document.
